How do I turn on Location Services? (Android Mobile)

Android Default Browser
  1. Turn on Location Services and Allow Location Sharing: Go to Settings > Scroll down to Location > ON
  2. Open northstarbets.ca in the browser and click Allow the browser to use your device’s location.
  3. If the pop-up did not appear or you clicked on the Block button by mistake, please follow these steps to reset Location Data permission: Click on the Menu icon > Settings > Scroll down to Privacy and Security > Delete browsing data
  4. Select Cookies and site Data & Location access data > Delete > Return to northstarbets.ca and refresh the web page.
Chrome Browser
  1. Turn on Location Services and Allow Location Sharing: Go to Settings > Scroll down to Location > ON
  2. Open northstarbets.ca in the Chrome browser and Allow the browser to use your device’s location.
  3. If the pop-up did not appear or you clicked on the Block button by mistake, please follow these steps to reset Location Settings permission:
    Click on the three dots Menu icon at the top bar > Settings > Site settings
  4. In the Blocked section, click on the northstarbets link > Allow > Then return to northstarbets.ca.
Firefox Browser
  1. Turn on Location Services and Allow Location Sharing: Go to Settings > Scroll down to Location > ON
  2. Open northstarbets.ca in the Firefox browser and Allow the browser to use your device’s location.
  3. If the pop-up did not appear or you clicked on the Don’t Allow button by mistake, please follow these steps to reset Location Data permission: Click on the three dots Menu icon at the top bar > Settings > Site permissions
  4. Select Location > Ask to allow > Return to northstarbets.ca and refresh the web page.

In addition to the above, enabling high accuracy on your device will reduce the chances of encountering location errors. This can be done as follows:

  1. Open Settings for your device.
  2. Tap "Connections"
  3. Tap "Location"
  4. Tap "Location Method"
  5. Enable "High Accuracy"
